Architectural Urban Design

My architectural and urban design research explores the relationship between people, place, and the built environment through an interdisciplinary approach spanning architectural design, urban design, architectural media studies, and architectural technology. Working across projects in New Zealand, Japan, and the United Kingdom, my research investigates how architecture can move beyond consumption towards custodianship by fostering enduring social, cultural, and ecological relationships. Through speculative design studios, international exchange, and advanced digital workflows, including computational modelling, geographic analysis, fabrication technologies, and architectural visualisation, I examine how buildings, landscapes, and infrastructure can cultivate resilient and meaningful places. From urban regeneration projects in Auckland and Middlesbrough to architectural proposals for Senso-ji Temple in Tokyo and regional planning research in rural Japan, each project contributes to a broader inquiry into architecture as a cultural, technological, and civic practice that reconnects people with the environments they inhabit.
